To All Professional Ethiopians and Persons of Ethiopian Origin Residing In Canada

The Ethiopian Expatriate Affairs Directorate General in the Ministry of Foreign affairs in collaboration with IOM, UNDP and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development come up with a program called Migration for Development in Ethiopia (MIDEth).

MIDEth focuses on Ethiopian and Ethiopian origin professionals with the view to facilitating transfer of knowledge and technology back home for selected public universities and regional health, water, and capacity building bureaus. The critical skill gap as identified by stated institution in the list attached herewith and the program is scheduled to begin sometime from July to December 2009.

Participants in MIDEth program will be provided with:

-Round trip ticket.

-Salary based on the university’s scale

-Furnished housing or housing allowance

-Domestic flight

- Top up of USD 300.00 every month.

Priority is given to those who apply to work for more than 6 months.

Candidates who wish to take part in the aforementioned program have to:

-Name university or institution they want to serve and area of interest

-Submit an application letter indicating when and for how long they want to serve

-An updated CV or resume

N.B. All necessary documents shall be submitted to the Ethiopian Embassy in Ottawa, Canada.
